Banana: The Healing Fruit of the Tropics

Banana is so popular nowadays in Japan and it became fixed as a part of breakfast among young people. Banana is somewhat expected being effective as an energy source for sportsmen. Did you know that banana gets sweeter when being cooked and heated?

Of course, there are various kinds of banana in the world. There are bananas that do not taste sweet at all, unless otherwise they are cooked.

In Mexico, Cuba, Costa Rica, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, and India, you can find street stalls, or roadside stands where they are selling sufficient menu of banana recipes, ranging from boiled banana, fried banana, mashed banana mixed with other vegetables or meat, and many others. Banana chips are also popular snack and produced from dehydrated or fried banana slices, which have a dark brown color and an intense banana taste. Bananas have also been used in the making of jam. Unlike other fruits, it is difficult to extract juice from bananas because when compressed, a banana simply turns to pulp. Available all year round, they are currently the most popular fruit in tropical countries. Banana sounds as a top energy source of all kinds of people. In some parts of Southeast countries, Brazil and Colombia, a certain kind of cooked banana is the main crop and daily food. Banana seems to be better than rice.

Banana of the tropics

Average people need about 3,500 mg of potassium a day. And did you know that approximately 360 mg of potassium are in one banana? About 3 pieces of banana, tomato, potato, and spinach will complete your daily mineral requirement.

An average banana contains about 90 energy calories, 23 g of carbohydrates, 12 g of sugar, 2.6 g of dietary fiber, 1 g of fat, and 9 mg of vitamin C.

If you see the above nutritional value, you may not feel 100% to satisfy your daily needs, but it is cheap and easy to find in more than 130 countries.

Lowering the glucose value in the blood is one of the healing effects of the banana. Eating one or two pieces of banana will regain your stamina and recover from fatigue rapidly after finishing your daily hard work.

Consider using bananas to heal mosquito bites, scars and warts (apply the inside of peel to irritated skin). Banana for cooking is getting popular on your TV screen. They are currently the most popular fruit in North America. Banana is one of the most powerful fruits you can find in supermarkets at reasonable and reachable price anywhere in the world today.

By the way, there is no day without banana and apple on my dining table. It decorates the table in color, and makes visitors happy, too.
